1 day introductory course

Knots, their practical application and how to tie them in different situations. (Clove hitch, bowline, figure of 8, round turn and two half hitches, barrel knot)

2 day intermediate course

The applications, limitations, pre-use checks, mode factors and how to install them in various ways on your own without risk.
Practical and theoretical assessment of competency in installing and using chain blocks, lever hoists and electric chain hoists.

Considerations when lifting something and how they affect one another: Weight, size, weight distribution, structure and rigidity, height of lift, self-supported structures, hanging items visible to audience, hanging items above people, performer flying, dynamic load, Ground plans.
PRACTICAL RIGGING:
Bridles - how they can be used.
Pulleys - how they can used to simply make scenic items move.
TripleEEE - Introduction to the kit, uses and limitations
